Double Major Programs

Double Major Programs

Our department offers double major programs with Mathematics and Physics. The eligibility criteria and program requirements are given below. For any additional questions/concerns you can contact the EE-MATH double major advisor, Prof. Yasemin P. Kahya, or the EE-PHYSICS double major advisor, Prof. Hakan Deliç.

EE-MATH Double Major Program

Eligibility criteria:
- 1) the student must have passed MATH 101, 102, 201
- 2) the weighted average of the grades on the MATH courses must be at least 3.30/4.00
- 3) the student must not have failed or repeated (even if DC/DD) any MATH courses
- 4) if the third condition is not satisfied, then the student must take MATH 231 and receive at least a BB before applying for the double major program

Students who plan to apply to the double major program and have not yet taken MATH 201 are strongly advised to take MATH 221 instead of MATH 201. This will prepare the students better for the double major program and will increase their chances to be admitted to the double major program.

mass MATH courses (MATH 101, 102, 201 or 221, 202)
